Case Studies
Northamptonshire County Council
In 2004 Northamptonshire County Council invested heavily in water savings by installing infra red urinal controllers to council offices, fire stations and almost 200 schools. Since 2006, ECS Water Services’ engineers have serviced and maintained the 550+ units, as well as installing any new controllers, thus maintaining the ongoing savings of £150,000+ and protecting the initial public investment. The longevity of the contract is a testament to our reliability and value for money. Similiar works are carried out with other local authorities.
Schools
ECS Water Services have successfully carried out numerous drainage projects with schools. These may involve High Pressure Water Jetting, CCTV Surveys, Descaling, Root Cutting, Repairs and Drain Relining using Blue Lighting Technology.
H2O Building Services
ECS Water Services have worked closely with H2O Building Services for over 25 years. In that time we have completed hundreds of water cost reduction and trade effluent surveys, managed numerous installation projects and continue to work closely with them on specific Corporate projects. One highlight of our partnership was identifying and securing a £157,000 refund for a London Borough in 2010. This special relationship demonstrates the trust put in ECS Water Services to represent a third party and manage important client projects.
London Borough of Enfield
ECS Water Services were recently (2014) contacted to find an underground leak in a large park in Enfield. Previous contractors did not have the specialist knowledge or equipment to locate the leak which was costing the Borough around £400 per day in lost water. ECS Water Services located and repaired the leak using specialist Engineers and equipment. This saved the Borough the equivalent of £146,000 in annual losses and ECS Water Services negotiated a leak refund of £31,700 with the water and wastewater supplier.
Since this project ECS has received almost 1,000 orders for water and wastewater related works at the Borough properties, either directly or via Enfield`s main contractor, S.W.Bruce & Co. Ltd. S.W. Bruce & Co. Ltd have since used ECS Water Services as a service provider with other valued customers, such as London Borough of Barnet
